Just a stone’s throw from The Ley Arms, our two self-catering cottages offer a stylish and comfortable base for your South Devon stay. Whether you’re planning a romantic weekend, a family holiday, or a group getaway, both cottages are full of character and charm — with wood-burning stoves, hand-picked furnishings, and their own private hot tubs for the ultimate in countryside relaxation.

Located in the peaceful village of Kenn, each cottage combines rustic features with thoughtful design, creating warm and welcoming spaces where you can truly unwind. With fully equipped kitchens, outdoor seating, and easy access to the pub and local walks, they’re the perfect home-from-home.

YOUR ROOM OPTIONS: Characterful Stays, Thoughtfully Styled

We have a total of seven boutique-style letting rooms, each individually designed to reflect the unique personalities of the Ley sisters — known locally as the Devon Beauties. The Ley family were the original estate owners, with roots here dating back to the 18th century (and yes, it’s pronounced Lee, not Lay!).

Designer Martin Diment took inspiration from the spirit and stories of these remarkable sisters, using their characters as the starting point for each room’s distinctive design.
All our suites are dog-friendly and come equipped with a cosy dog bed, bowl, and doggy treats — with the exception of Suite Violet, which is reserved as our hypoallergenic suite.

We offer three levels of suites:

DELUXE DOUBLE OR TWIN

Suite 1 – Beatrice. Ground floor
Suite 2 – Daisy (is our accessible suite) (Ground floor)
Suite 4 – Henrietta (Ground floor)

SUPERIOR DOUBLE OR TWIN

Suite 3 – Mary (Has a bath as well as a walk-in shower) (Ground Floor)
Suite 7 – Violet (Hypoallergenic suite – no dogs allowed) (1st floor)

SUPERIOR DELUXE OR TWIN

Suite 5 – Dorothy* (Emperor size bed) (1st floor)
Suite 6 – Marjorie* (Emperor size bed) (1st floor)

*Both these suites can accommodate up to three guests with the addition of an extra bed.

Please note: All beds can be split into twin beds. To guarantee this configuration, we kindly ask to be informed no later than 11:00 am on the day of check-in.
